The Hub creative crafters are always making interesting and novel items which they occasionally want to find 'new homes' for; hence this new (2024) page. Members and associates of the Huthwaite Hub assure anyone interested in the items listed below that they are hand made or craft items surplus to requirements. Unless otherwise stated all proceeds will go directly to the day to day running of this unique and local charity. Please use the contact form on the home page to get in touch.

Since the 8th April 2024 this service has already raised £164.50 and the total will be updated on a monthly basis. Many thanks to all those that donate items for sale and all those that buy them.

Dave the lathe kindly donated one of his many gonks to a worthy cause. This little fellow will shortly be on his travels to his new home in Poland as a thank you gift to a Polish couple but its likely their daughter will quickly claim him!

The latest batch of 5 cheese boards (one couldn't wait to be photographed!) have now all been delivered to their new owners. The next 2 will start in production in the coming weeks, after that Steve U will be taking a break as too much cheese isn't good for him!

This unique coffee scoop is definitely different! It's all hand crafted and the iridescent green duck's head with vibrant yellow eye's brings the piece together. So, if you are interested in something out of the ordinary for your kitchen (coffee & biscuits not included)...

2 Black Ash pens

Two identical Black Ash pens...

Black Ash trees grow in the North Eastern United States & Eastern Canada and when turned are typically seen as baseball bats or tool handles.

This time Steve P has used his turning expertise to produce 2 stunning Black Ash propelling pens and has then donated them to the Hub.

Cheese or canapé boards...

These unique hardwood end grain boards measure approximately 150 * 220mm (5.5 * 8") and are ideal as cheese or canapé boards. These two have already been sold at £10 each however due to demand more have been requested so if you'd like one or more - please use the contact form on the home page and we'll be in touch. The colours may vary slightly due to available wood stocks but the overall design will remain the same.

Mosaic Coasters...

A pair of unique drinks coasters with a similar mosaic design but with different woods.... on the left is 'Purple Heart with Spalted Maple' while on the right is 'Rosewood with Spalted Beech' both finished with high gloss varnish and each measuring 80mm/3 inch diameter. By the way - your favourite tipple is not included!
